Review of Kiss of Hammer and Flame by Amy De La Force

Kiss of Hammer and Flame is an atmospheric and emotionally evocative gem that instantly swept me into its magical world. From the very first chapters, I was completely invested in Cahra—a strong, sword-wielding heroine who is equal parts fierce and vulnerable. Her emotional depth had me tearing up early on (yes, actual tears), and by the end, I was totally smitten.
It’s clever, powerful, and sets the stage for a story that blends destiny, danger, and desire. Amy draws us into a richly built world of lore, tyrant kings, and a deliciously slow-burning love triangle. Add in a perfectly executed “who hurt you” trope, and romantasy fans are in for a treat. With brilliant world-building, high emotional stakes, and a heroine you’ll root for with your whole heart, Kiss of Hammer and Flame is everything we want in the genre—and more.
