‘The missing boy is ten-year-old Alfie Risby, and to be perfectly honest with you, he’s a little shit...’
As soon as I read that first line, I knew that I was going to love our main character Florence Grimes, mother of Dylan, who becomes the prime suspect in the disappearance of the frozen food empire heir, Alfie.
What transpires is Florence partnering up with a new mum, one of the very few who like her from Alfie’s school, to investigate the child’s dissapearence and stop the spotlight from shining on her son who at one point she thinks could have ACTUALLY committed the crime in question...
I thoroughly enjoyed All The Other Mothers Hate Me, it was fun, enjoyable, and if you’ve ever been a parent at the school gates, I KNOW that you know the cliquey atmosphere you can walk into, add that vibe and twist it around a mystery with a flawed character in detective shoes, then you have this book! This book is identifiable, but also so funny and will keep you engaged until the final page. LOVED IT!
