Saoirse is back in her hometown in Ireland after being dumped by her boyfriend in London. Uprooting her new life of independence for her childhood bedroom, Saoirse is desperate to regain her freedom, both socially and financially, while living under the roof of her disagreeable mother. Then she meets Charlie, a boy she’s introduced to by an old friend, who’s able to distract her from her turbulent life as they go on late night drives and steal moments alone when not with friends.

Saoirse is the epitome of a young women trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life and connect with those around her. Exploring the loneliness and confusion which comes from heartbreak, Sugartown is a tender and raw look at starting over and putting your trust into someone new.
A striking Irish debut for fans of Megan Nolan, Niamh Mulvey and Christine Anne Foley.
