Review of The Red Winter by Cameron Sullivan

This was one of the most original folkloric fantasy novels I think I’ve ever read, with the essence of Jekyll and Hyde. With unique character perspectives, The Red Winter was a fun and entertaining read from the first until the final page. With stunningly immersive writing and at times smile-worthy footnote commentary, it’s definitely a book that you will not forget in a jiffy!
We are transported to 1785 where the Beast of Gevandan returns and roams free, leaving trails of blood in his wake. When professor and monster-slayer Sebastian Grave hears the news, he is drawn back into a past that he thought he had longforgotten. Prepare to be utterly engrossed!
