Review of The Second Chance Cinema by Thea Weiss

The colder nights are rolling in, and we highly recommend that you grab a hot chocolate, your favourite blanket and this heart-warming, cinematic romantic read.

When fiances, Ellie and Drake, find themselves walking around the city during a late-night walk, they come across a cinema down an alley way that only has tickets for two, and will only be playing one film per ticket. What transpires is a magical look down both Ellie and Drake’s individual memory lane - including some memories that they fear may be revealed.

ith definite elements of Matt Haig’s The Midnight Library, but with it’s very own identity, I found The Second Chance Cinema to be quite life-affirming, re-alliterating that the memories and experiences that we have, mold us to who we are, and therefore the person that people come to love.

A special book that will stay with you way after the final page.
