Review of Cat Fight by Kit Conway

A domestic thriller for fans of Desperate Housewives, this is a debut that begins on a May bank holiday so a very timely read! A group of ‘friendly’ neighbours on an exlusive suburban estate let the cracks of their perfectly manufactured lives show when sightings of the legendary Sevenoaks Panther begin. Full of gossip, drama and suspense, this is definitely a fun summer read.
However, I found the characters hard to invest my interest in and, whilst I can get on board with a domestic thriller, this fell a little flat for me. I was left hungry for an element of weirdness that wasn’t delivered but maybe I was looking for a different kind of story. I am sure another reader would enjoy this debut and perhaps be able to give me some interesting perspective.
