One train. Five strangers. One will die. Who will you choose?
This is a brilliant thriller concept, with a thoughtful, sharp edge and characters whose pasts have led them exactly where they are. Some you’ll love, others you won’t, but as this literary drama unfolds, you’ll find yourself edging closer and closer to the edge of your seat.
Ilona Bannister’s debut thriller skyrocketed to the top of my favourite reads of 2026 so far, and it stayed with me long after I turned the final page. Her talent is undeniable, she taps into her characters with precision, capturing the gritty details of their lives and inner thoughts.
Five is written in a great way, ticking down the time to the death, as well providing ‘side-chapters’ that provide more dimensional details into the characters. Perfect in everyway, with added chill and exploration of human struggle. 10/10 recommended!
