A moving collection of poems from an exciting new talent on home, identity and sexuality. Rishi’s poems explore how the movement of the day can symbolise the moving of time and place.
Born in Birmingham, Rishi’s poetry sparks nostalgia for the safety of home and family warmth. This pamphlet maps a journey of a young man’s experiences growing up as someone who sees the world fully, feels everything deeply, and wants to swallow it whole.
What I found so interesting was the playfulness with language and the art of translation. I underlined so many beautiful lines which sung of hope in a messy and chaotic world.
