What would happen if you suspected your co-worker of being a serial killer but then found the office enemy duo bonding over making the other one suspect that they’re serial killers - this can only mean one thing... co-worker enemies to lovers through a sizzling hot, close-proximity environment. I was immediately intrigued by this book but unfortunately, the characters didn’t make me love them. Although, at first, they made me smile with their clashing chemistry - we love an odd couple, especially ones obsessed with true crime - as they became closer and their own storylines floated to the surface, I found myself confused at times and not fully invested. Saying this, I did finish the book and I would recommend it to fans of Sweetpea-style dark humour with a sprinkling of romance.
