Anyone here OBSESSED with Nora Smith? Because I know I am! Couple that with a psychological TWISTY thriller in the shape of Liane Child’s The Tradwife’s Secret and you have yourself a book that I promise you will not be able to put down! We meet Madison March, a tradwife influencer with a huge following, a lovely family and the perfect life... Or so it seems... What her millions of followers don’t know is that Madison has been living a lie, a life FULL of juicy and shocking secrets which are deliciously unveiled as the storyline begins to unravel.

Cally, one of our main characters, is running away from something, so when she’s offered a job as the March children’s tutor, she snaps it up but when she arrives at the ranch she slowly becomes suspicious of her fellow employees and the dynamic with them, Madison and her over-bearing traditional husband, Michael. I ate this up, especially as Cally begins bringing more progressive views to the children’s curriculum and as she grows closer to one of the staff members in particular. Did I say that there were some DELICIOUS secrets just waiting to be uncovered?
Let’s chat about the relationship between Madison and Michael - as a traditional family, Michael works on the ranch and although doesn’t acknowledge that most of their wealth comes from Madison’s influencing, he makes it very clear that the women should know their place - this really hits home the increased trend of trad wife content on social media and how the reality of it all isn’t as cut and dry as it seems. I was utterly obsessed and when I say I gasped at that ending... A perfect wrap up to a brilliant thrilling debut!
