This book swept me off my feet and is definitely one of my favourite reads of 2026 so far! Whether you’re already utterly in love with Gothic historical fiction or you haven’t yet found the book to pique your interest in the genre, Weavingshaw is the one to convert you.

When Leena’s brother is on the verge of death, she turns to the Saint of Silence, trading her darkest secret for the coin needed to heal him, but little does she know, her secret will be worth far more than she ever imagined. Leena is a truly haunted character. With the ability to see the dead, and help them move on, she is drawn alongside the Saint to Weavingshaw, where the atmosphere tightens into something claustrophobic and dangerous, and a web of deceit and secrets slowly begins to unravel.
